Our vision is to serve as a bridge between Indonesia and New Zealand, fostering an appreciation for our cultural heritage and ensuring its transmission to future generations. We aim to showcase the pride of our nation through various artistic expressions, highlighting the beauty and diversity of Indonesian culture.

Our mission focuses on the preservation, development, collaboration, and revival of Indonesian dance, performances, arts, and culture in Auckland. We strive to create a safe, fun, and innovative platform that nurtures creativity while building lasting friendships among Indonesians living in Auckland and across New Zealand.

Sanggar Pertiwi offers an array of traditional Indonesian dances, including Tari Manuk Dadali, Tari Ondel Ondel, Tari Papua, Tari Janger, Tari Beauty of Bali, and Tari Yapong. Each dance tells a unique story, reflecting the rich cultural tapestry of Indonesia from various regions.

In addition to dance, we host a Nusantara Fashion Show, showcasing a variety of traditional Indonesian clothing that represents the diversity of our archipelago, from Sabang in the west to Merauke in the east. This event not only celebrates our heritage but also allows participants and audiences to engage with the beauty of our traditional attire.

Through these activities, we aim to enrich the cultural landscape of Auckland, allowing both Indonesians and New Zealanders to connect and learn from one another. By sharing our cultural practices, we hope to foster understanding and appreciation, ensuring that our heritage remains vibrant and alive for generations to come.
